I regularly work from life models and the figure as landscape is a pervading theme in my work. I work on the basis that all figurative art can be built from a central axis and all the angles and plains emerge from this internal structure. I also see the figure in terms of landscape and this allows for a more fluid response in my work. the viewer to engage in their own interpretation and superimpose their own impression on the works being viewed.
