I have for the first tine joined an international online gallery, Galeria Azur who represent artists on Artsy and Artsper. I was invited to create a selection of my works in a large format and to submit them for a year as part of an art collective. I seemed like a good option as many physical galleries were closed at the time creating the art. It will be interesting to compare this with showing at an actual physical gallery. I enjoyed the challenge of revisiting some of my themes such as dance and movement. I was also very energised working in a large format. I indulged in a feeling of vertigo when I was working on the Madrid Gran Via painting from my photo taken from the top floor leading the eye all the way out to the Sierra. During the painting of the seascapes I immersed myself in my sensory recall of some of our painting holiday locations making it easier to create the sense of the expansive beaches and skies.
